The Cyberpunk Soundtracks
For the last several years I had had a constantly evolving series of mix-tapes of songs that put me in the mood for Cyberpunk 2020. Compiling these songs over the years has provided a great distraction, and made long trips to work much less aggravating.
Of course we don't listen to these while actually playing, for that I prefer music without spoken lyrics, at least English spoken words. But pre game, to get everyone psyched, or for long evenings spent working on characters, or just working on my site, these CD's keep me focused and on top of my game. And of course having OCD on my level means I had to create CD covers, labels, the works. The problem was, I was being greedy, but I have seen the error of my ways, and now I am sharing them with you. Some of these songs are pretty obscure, if you don't have as extensive a music collection as I do, and can't find a song let me know and maybe I can point you in the right direction.
The music mix is pretty eclectic, with a little bit of everything for everyone. Some of the songs are there for obvious reasons, some of them you have to look a little deeper into their lyrics for why I included them. It has been suggested that I add more Hard Metal to the mix, but the problem with that stuff is that most of the lyrics, or the vocalists, are just inintelligible. And since the lyrics were the driving force behind these CD's they simply did not fit.
The first set of CD's, Cyberpunk 2020: Life In The Neon Gutter (3 Volumes) is for a standard Cyberpunk 2020 game.
