The United States largest nuclear submarine, it went into production just before the US collapse, and the entire line has been updated recently with state of the art electronics and equipment.  The Nautilus class of submarine utilizes military stealth MHD's for propulsion, and in silent running mode the sub is virtually invisible to sonar.  The subs minimum crew compliment is 20, although for smooth operation  a crew of 80 is standard, with extra quarters for 20 passengers.  The maximum dive depth is 1200m, unprecedented for ships this large, although the EEC and Russia possess their own versions of the sub.  China is far behind in the submersibles line, still using 40 year old subs bought from Russia during the cold war.   The Nautilus Class of submersibles are extremely well equipped, and armed to the teeth.  For black ops insertion and search and rescue duty, they feature 2 mini-sub/ diving bays at fore and aft, and the front of the sub feature an enclosed helipad, capable of storing, servicing, and launching 4 AV'S or helicopters.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: back-up generators and life support, Nuclear MHD propulsion, damage control, escape pods, military communications suite, weapon stabilization, cybernetic linkage for most systems, robotic control (int 5 x4) MHD propulsion, searchlights, 2 minisub/ dive bays each able to dock 2 mini-subs and stores a full assortment of dive gear for 10 people (both scuba and deep sea), full military marine sensor suite, medical bay, galley, R/R den, kitchen, bathrooms, smoking room, brig,  (and anything else you can imagine)

ARMAMENT: Surface warfare: 8 retracting subroc batteries, depth charges (4 batteries of 20), 12 dual gun 12.7mm MG mounted in retracting armored pods along the deck,
Submerged warfare:  6 forward torpedo tubes, 4 in the rear, and 2 on each side,  (there are a wide variety of torpedoes, but the standard military anti-ship torpedo does 18D10 damage)
The Nautilus Class also carries 21 conventional cruise missiles and 9 with nuclear warheads.

The Hyperion mega-carrier is the undisputed ruler of the seas.  It is basically two arcraft carriers in one, and uses a catamaran style hull for stability and support of its massive weight.  It was built using the same technology as that of the famous Neo-City and carries twice the compliment of even the largest super carriers.  The Hyperion has all the features of the Prometheus, and additionally has enough room between its hulls for small cargo vessels to safely unload their supplies through a cargo bay on the belly of the ship equipped with a winch and crane.  It also features two smaller flight decks mounted on the front of the ship and the main flight deck has been theorized to be able to handle landing a small airliner, although this has not been tested.  This, the flaghips of Amercian  forces, utilizes state of the art elctronics and MHD drives.  Truly the most awesome machine that has ever sailed the oceans.  The vessel was completed in late 2019.  Along the sides of the vessel there are bays for launching Aerodynes.  Underneath the vessel, between the two hulls, is an airlock capable of docking with large submarines, this both hides the submarines sonar signature and its presence, allowing it to maintain secrecy while re-supplying.  On the sides of each hull are ports for storing and launching smaller submersibles and individual divers.  And at the waterline there are bays for storing and launching smaller watercraft.  There is also an entire deck on each hull devoted to U.S.M.C. equipment and vehicle storage.

The United States currently has 2 of these John Wayne Class super carriers in service.  These are the last aircraft carriers to be built by the US before the "crash" and much of the Naval compliment relies on the ships built before the Collapse.  The John Wayne class super carrier is huge, almost twice the size of the Enterprise, with runways long enough to land most conventional aircraft, though it is still only 2/3rds the size of the Hyperion.  It also houses a troop compliment of 2500 men and women.   Aerodynes  launch and land inside the large open hangar at the rear of the vessel (with sliding garage style doors in bad weather situations and enemy attacks), while the fixed wing, helicopters, and Osprey launch from the flight deck.  In addition there are 4 internal docks, 3 for Troop disembarkment and 1 set aside exclusively for S.E.A.L. teams.  The Carrier is propelled by military MHD drives, and is nuclear powered.  On a side note, when asked why the carrier class was designated "John Wayne" instead of after an american president which is traditional for pre-collapse US Naval Vessels, the designers merely replied, "Are you kidding, John Wayne was the BEST President America ever had!" <>

The Clinton class carriers were the first carriers commissioned after the Crash.  Because It was built on a half finished Wayne class frame that was in production, but forgotten about during the crash, the Naval Shipyards were able to finish it within two years.  Afterwards production was switched to create the Hyperion.  The Asuka class of carrier is really nothing more than an upgraded Wayne, fitted with the new Nuclear powered MHD propulsion system and further upgraded with the latest electronics and defense systems.  It is the same size and boasts the same compliment, but it is far more up to date in terms of technology and design.  It is a sad thing to note that to pay for the hyperion, the US had to sell off most of its fleet of carriers.  Where once they boasted 13 active carriers, now there are only 4 serving the fleet.
